Hiding behind the mask

Hey everyone!! Just a little food for thought! So, I was standing in church yesterday and of course had my very uncomfortable mask on, what a message that is in itself.  Anyway sorry,  so I'm standing there and a lady comes by and speaks to me and says y'all were here last week right? We say yes ma'am and she says I thought so, but with these masks  on I can't tell who is who, I agree and then I started thinking about the mask.   As a society that has become one of the many new norms, is wearing a mask,  but as a Christian I have been taught to remove my mask.  I  know that we need to obey the law of the land, but also as a child of God don't get comfortable covering things up.  Don't fall back into old habits and put a mask over insecurities,  shame,  guilt,  or even sin.  When you go to God,  don't pick up the mask, and let it dangle from your ear,  just know that God wants the real unhindered vessel that you are.   Have a great night.  JPH
