The typical cliches sayings this season
I was sitting at home the other day watching something on tv and of course a Christmas commercial came on advertising Target I think. Anyway the music for the commercial was it's the most wonderful time of the year. Why do we say that, or Jesus is the Reason for the Season, or Have a holly jolly Christmas this year? What if for some it's the worst time of the year, or they don't feel very jolly, or drinking is the reason for the season for some? I know what you are thinking you are saying well we should show them. Yes we should, but not just in December. I remember several years ago they stopped a lot of the stores from saying Merry Christmas, they had to say happy holidays, and a lot of people were very upset, because they couldn't say Christ in Merry Christmas, yet we wait all year to be jolly. I know for some it's not a happy time of the year for many different reasons, but for those that do enjoy this season help someone out realize Jesus is ALWAYS the reason. Merry Christmas. JPH
