Leaky Oil

The other day my pastor's wife posted something that made reference to the oil lamps that the 10 virgins were carrying.   The post made mention about not letting oil leak out,  and that got me to thinking about oil leaks.   I have had a car that leaks oil before and it is not good for your car.  Most of the time if you don't get the problem fixed it continues to leak oil, and eventually will start causing a bigger leak in your oil pan.  Bigger leak means more oil spilling out, which will start to cost you more money in buying oil all the time.  If you still don't get the problem fixed it will eventually cost you even more money, by causing problems with your car.  Your engine in your car will eventually lock up.  When you are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit you have the precious oil, that God has trusted you with, to help others come to know Him.  If we don't stay in His word, and stay in communication with God then we start to have cracks in our vessel.  The oil will start to leak , and get tainted and dirty.  Dirty oil will start to clogg up blessings, miracles,and eventually it will cost you your soul.  Guard your oil, continue to communicate with God, obey His commands, and seek His will.  Don't just give your oil out to anyone.  Trust God that He will lead and direct you in the ways you should go.  I know that I haven't written in a while, not that I haven't wanted to, just a lot going on in life.  Hopefully this summer I will have more stories to write about.  Take care and until next time,enjoy.  JPH
